TIME AND ENERGY:

Why do I waste my precious time and energy trying to figure out
what makes a person do what they do. All I need to know is that
they suffer from an emotional sickness, sick thinking of some sort.
Why shouldn’t I have compassion for them and their illness when I
am so ready to feel sorry for people who have other diseases? Can I
look into their heart and realize the true nature of their suffering?

The fact that I am the spouse, child, parent, or friend of a sick
person does not give me the right to try to control them. I can make
the situation worse by treating them like an irresponsible naughty
child.
