Some thoughts about recovery. * Take what you like and leave the rest.
~Step Ten says: "Continued to take personal inventory and when wewere wrong promptly admitted it." It does not suggest that weignore what is right in our life. When we take an inventory, we will want to look for many things. We can search out feelings that need our attention. We can look forold ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving. But a critical part of our inventory can focus on what we're doingright and all that is good around us.Part of our problem is an obsessive focus on what's wrong. Inrecovery we're learning to focus on what is right. What did you do right today? Did you behave differently today thanyou would have a year ago? Did you reach out to someone and allowyourself to be vulnerable? You can compliment yourself for that.Did you have a bad day but dealt effectively with it? Did you practicegratitude and acceptance? Did you take a risk, own your power, orset a boundary?Did you take time for prayer or meditation? Did you trust the Godof your understanding?Even on our worst days, we can find one thing we did right. We canfind one thing to feel hopeful about. We can focus realistically onvisions of what can be.Web Stores:eCrater - http://wrhmcp.ecrater.com/Webidz - http://www.webidz.com/stores/WRHPolice ARDC – http://www.wrhmcp.comAtomic Mall - http://www.atomicmall.com/wrhmcp
