Some thoughts about recovery. * Take what you like and leave the rest.
~Most of us in recovery have engaged in denial from time to time. Some relied on it.We may have denied feelings from our past. We may have deniedother people's problems; we may have denied our own problems, feelings thoughts, wants, or needs.Denial means we didn't let ourselves face reality. It would be aloss of something: trust, love, family, perhaps a marriage, afriendship, or a dream. And it hurts to lose something, or someone.Denial is a protective device, a shock absorber for the soul. Itprevents us from acknowledging reality until we feel prepared tocope with that particular reality. We are sturdy yet fragile beings. Sometimes, we need time to getprepared, time to ready ourselves to cope. We do not let go of ourneed to deny by beating ourselves into acceptance; we let go of ourneed to deny by allowing ourselves to become safe and strongenough to cope with the truth. We will face and deal with reality – on our own time schedule, whenwe are ready, and in our Higher Power's timing. We do not have toaccept negatives from anyone, including ourselves, for this schedule.Web Stores:eCrater - http://wrhmcp.ecrater.com/Webidz - http://www.webidz.com/stores/WRHPolice ARDC – http://www.wrhmcp.comAtomic Mall - http://www.atomicmall.com/wrhmcp
