Some thoughts about recovery. * Take what you like and leave the rest.
~Some of us tried to trust untrustworthy people. We believed liesand promises. Some of us tried to trust other people, for instance, trusting a practicing alcoholic to come home when they say theywill. Some of us trusted our Higher Power inappropriately. We trustedour Higher Power to make other people do what we wanted, thenfelt betrayed when that didn't work out.In recovery, we're healing from our trust issues. We're learning totrust again. We can learn to trust ourselves. We can be trusted. Ifothers have taught us we cannot trust ourselves, they were lying.Addictions and dysfunctional systems can cause people to lie.We can trust the process – of life and recovery. We do not have tocontrol, obsess, or become hyper vigilant. We may not alwaysunderstand where we are in the process, or what's being workedout in us, but we can trust that something good is happening. As we learn to do this, we are ready to learn to trust other people. When we trust our Higher Power and when we trust ourselves, wewill know whom to trust and what to trust.Web Stores:eCrater - http://wrhmcp.ecrater.com/Webidz - http://www.webidz.com/stores/WRHPolice ARDC – http://www.wrhmcp.comAtomic Mall - http://www.atomicmall.com/wrhmcp
